With Archibald, designer Jean-Marie Massaud has achieved a perfectly harmonious blend of form and function: the Archibald armchairs and footstool feature a comfortable, enveloping design that invites meditation and relaxation.
The width and depth of the seat are balanced by slender legs, creating an overall effect that is light and slender. In the Archibald armchair, the leather upholstery – pleasantly animated by a play of vertical pleats – is embellished along the edges and on the outer surfaces with contrasting stitching that adds a touch of refined elegance.
The backrest and seat structure is made of steel, with moulded polyurethane foam padding and contoured foam with polyester wadding in areas requiring greater comfort. The suspension is provided by elastic straps. The base consists of four cast aluminium feet and a tubular steel frame with a gunmetal finish. The Archibald armchairs and footstool are upholstered in Pelle Frau®.
