A design born of the quest for a rigorous yet measured comfort – supportive yet with a hint of flexibility. Gentry conveys tradition, distinction and a sense of belonging, with a newfound courage to counter, through subtle irony, the negative connotations of the term ‘bourgeoisie’. Above all, the sofa expresses a way of being, a sensitive attitude inclined towards restoring the balance between discipline and free movement. The large independent back and seat cushions make both conventional and relaxed positions comfortable: ‘good manners’ re-evaluate behaviours that are sometimes frowned upon; it is lovely to lie down, rest and read.
Fire-retardant cold-foamed polyurethane and polyester fibre with an internal steel frame. Bridge-style legs in chrome-plated or powder-coated steel tubing. The seat cushions are made of goose down with a polyurethane foam insert. The backrest, armrest and optional cushions are made of goose down. The Gentry collection features removable covers.
